International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a date that has been marked by women’s activists, feminists and other organisations for nearly 40 years, as a day of protest to end violence against women and girls.

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence runs from 25 November until 10 December (Human Rights Day). It is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world.

Wyndham CEC will be supporting the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence with the following activities:

  • The Wyndham Interfaith Network joined with Faith Community Council of Victoria panel discussion on health relationships.
  • Working with members of faith groups to recognize and respond to violence against women.
  • Working with youth and the Victorian Government via youth leadership global citizenship discussion sessions.
