Wyndham CEC has been successfully delivering early childhood education programs for many years and maintains supportive relationships within the early childhood education sector. This means our graduates have tremendous employment outcomes.

Learn to provide care to children, plan learning activities, organise their play, and support them to achieve their developmental milestones. Our program is delivered in a flexible and supportive environment with classes scheduled two days per week over 9 months

Students must also complete a minimum of 120 hours work placement in an approved Early Childhood Education & Care Centre to complete the qualification.


Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care CHC50113

If you are seeking work in a long day care centre or preschool, wish to upgrade your qualification or pursue a leadership role in family day care, this program is highly recommended for you.

The Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care teaches you how to plan, implement and manage programs in early childhood services, in accordance with licensing, accreditation and duty of care requirements..

Staff holding the Diploma have responsibility for supervision of other staff and volunteers. In Victoria, the Diploma is usually the highest qualification required to work as a Director or Service Manager of a centre-based care service.

Our program delivers the full Diploma qualification in a flexible and supportive environment with classes scheduled two days per week over 18 months.

Students must also complete a minimum of 240 hours work placement in an approved Early Childhood Education & Care Centre to complete the qualification.

PRE-TRAINING INTERVIEW

Before enrolment, Wyndham CEC will conduct a pre-training interview to help each student determine the appropriate program. This interview will also find out your support needs and advise you of the expectations of the program.

FEES & CHARGES

Fee information is available on the Student Information tab on our homepage.

Students who are eligible for a government subsidised place will not pay a tuition fee. Eligibility will be established at the pre-training interview.

All students enrolled in Early Childhood Education and Care will be charged fees for textbooks and amenities.

Wyndham CEC acknowledges the support of the Victorian government.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to access training through the Skills First Program
