Webpage Design is a short course for people who are confident computer users and would like to learn how to develop their own website for personal or work purposes. This course would also be a pathway for people wanting to enrol in a course like Certificate III in Screen and Media, and would also be perfect for small business owners with advanced computer skills and knowledge. This course is a possible follow-on for people who have completed the "Computer Skills – Advanced" course.
This course will cover:
- Understanding basic Web design terms, concepts, purpose etc
- Understanding good site design tips
- Learning about Webpage standard layout, etc.
- Understanding Web Building Software vs Online apps
- Knowing what is WYSIWYG? What are WYSIWYG tools?
- Working with web images, resizing and editing images
- Creating a website with WYSIWYG tools: Google site
- Getting an overview of using Google Sites
- Creating a digital portfolio
- Adding pages, contents
- Uploading files
- Publishing and sharing a site
The class is 3 hours a week for 10 weeks.
There are 4 intakes every year.
